Following two long years of event cancellations and an art auction procured in an attempt to keep operations afloat, Burning Man sees a light at the end of the tunnel.
Given the recent news that the outdoor festival will resume activities in 2020, the event organizers have announced the theme for 2022: Waking Dreams.
Taking to the social media via the official festival website, Stuart Mangrum, Director of the Philosophical Center of Burning Man Project, shared:
“[the theme] will explore the transformative power of dreams, both literal and figurative, and celebrate the dreamers who channel this potent energy in eye-opening, often surrealistic, sometimes life-changing ways.”
Next year’s event will celebrate the first time Burners will come together in three years, with 2020 and 2021 editions officially canceled in an attempt to keep festival-goers safe from COVID-19
