In the new Ty Dolla $ign music video, “By Yourself”, the mega MC has recruited actress Tiffany Haddish to portray his co-protagonist.
Supported by fellow mega-stars Jhene Aiko, Bryson Tiller, and Mustard, Haddish, as seen in “Girl’s Trip (2017)”, is portrayed as a disgruntled woman freeing herself from a one-sided toxic relationship only to find love of herself. With the sample of an irate voicemail from what-seems-to-be Haddish, we’re taken through the visual masterpiece and ultimately brought into Aiko’s and Tiller’s rap verses. Known for his exquisite visual work, co-director Alex Bittan has led video projects for artists such as Harry Styles, will.i.am, Rae Sremmurd, and of course, longtime friend Ty Dolla $ign. The video ends with all of the artists dancing to the final line “You don’t need a man, you do it by yourself.”
No stranger to fame with chart-shattering hits like: “Blasé”, “Or Nah”, “Saved”, and “Work From Home”, Ty Dolla $ign has amassed an estimated net worth of $1,500,000. Born Tyrone WIlliam Griffin Jr., Ty has released three studio albums: Free TC, Beach House 3, and Featuring Ty Dolla Sign with the first two full lengths earning RIAA Gold and Platinum status respectively.
Best known for her acting, comedic, and production skills, Tiffany Haddish has recently released the New York Times Bestseller The Last Black Unicorn, a “collection of (extremely) personal essays.
