Following the release of their first original track, “Call Me Queen,” Citizen Queen enjoys increased attention by way of several new, recently released remixes.
When they were first formed by Pentatonix’ Scott Hoying in 2018, the five-part female act made their initial presence known by gaining early momentum with a number of YouTube covers including the “Evolution of Girl Groups,” video that has since garnered tens of millions of views.
The RCA Records-released single features each of the Citizen Queen’s members rapping and/or singing empowering lyrics about finding one’s inner strength and harnessing the power. The underlying music production offers heavy rhythm as an integral support system for the ladies’ recorded performance.
Following the original singles initial early-2021 release, the brand new Frank Pole and Deerock‘s remixes provide, both, a respective uptempo and more subtle slant. The newly-minted versions offer up house and future bass flavors, with Pole’s edition relying on a more-centric “club” feel, propelled by a heavy bass line, while Deerock’s mixes makes use of multiple synth effects.
