Guetta Named World’s #1 DJ

David Guetta has officially been crowned The World’s No.1 DJ for a record-breaking sixth time, leading the triumphant results of DJ Mag’s 2026 Top 100 DJs poll announced live at [UNVRS] in Ibiza.

The world’s largest publicly-voted music poll drew verified votes from 234 global territories this year. The historic sixth victory cements Guetta as the most successful artist in the poll’s history, capping a phenomenal twelve months that included racking up another five billion streams and becoming the first artist to land 22 number ones on the US Dance Airplay chart.

Reflecting on his milestone win, David Guetta shared his excitement: “To become the first artist to win Top 100 DJs six times while being part of this moment for dance music is incredible. DJs are now playing stadium shows that were once reserved for the biggest pop and rock acts.”

The high-profile announcement took place at [UNVRS], which made history by claiming the title of The World’s No.1 Club in its very first year of operation. Alongside Guetta’s top honour, the ceremony celebrated several major genre winners, including Charlotte de Witte as The World’s No.1 Techno DJ, Indira Paganotto taking home the inaugural award for The World’s No.1 Psy DJ, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike named The World’s No.1 DJ Group.

The wider 2026 poll results revealed exciting shifts across the global electronic scene, with Anyma climbing to No.3, Fred again.. jumping to No.16, and UK house sensation Josh Baker claiming the title of Highest New Entry at No.40.

Beyond the music, this year’s poll continued its vital philanthropic partnership with Bridges for Music. The initiative successfully raised £120,000 to fund the education of 120 students at the music academy based in Langa, South Africa.
