With a show-stopping performance, Madonna opened the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards with two words, “It’s Mother.”
Calling on several of her famous friends to help her bring down the house – including Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, and Debi Mazar – the iconic singer/songwriter took to the stage for the first time in 23 years to perform ‘Bring Your Love,’ and ‘Danceteria Afterhours.’
Though originally scheduled to start on Sunday (9.27) at 7:30 pm US Eastern time on Sunday, the live CBS-TV show from the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles was delayed some twenty minutes following the Dallas Cowboys vs Baltimore Ravens football game ran over.
