Latto is a new mum.
The rapper-singer, real name Alyssa Stephens, posted a video on Instagram on Monday in which she chronicled her pregnancy.
The footage concluded with an audio clip of her family encouraging Latto to “push” and “go, go, go,” in what appears to be a hospital setting.
The Big Energy star – who is in a relationship with rapper 21 Savage – didn’t share any further details, such as the baby’s sex or birth date.
But in the video, she included a fun clip showing her pals Usher and Angel Reese trying to guess the infant’s gender.
And in a voiceover, Latto reflected on how she was nervous to be pregnant at the same time she was recording her upcoming album, Big Mama.
“I was already thinking about naming my album Big Mama, and then I found out about you, and it just – everything fell into place,” the 27-year-old mused. “It’s so crazy because I thought this was going to hinder me – making this album sober, being tired and just exhausted, as my body went through all these changes.”
Representatives for Latto and 21 Savage, born Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, have not yet commented on the happy news. s
Latto announced her pregnancy in March by showing off her baby bump on the cover of Big Mama. She also addressed the pregnancy on the album’s lead single Business & Personal.
Big Mama is slated to drop on 29 May.
