Dolly Parton Postpones Vegas Shows

Sharing about the “health challenges” she’s been dealing with of late, Dolly Parton has postponed six December concerts at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Having had to curtail rehearsals, the country music icon took to social media with a message to her fans, writing:

“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts.” “As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000 mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”

Adding that she wouldn’t be able to give her audience the performance “that you deserve to see” and that she wants “to be at my best for you,” the 79-year old musician needs time to “get show ready”.

Calming any fears that anything too serious was going on, the Tennessee-born singer/songwriter added”

“Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet,” she wrote. “But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures in life.” “I love you and thank you for understanding.”

Originally scheduled for December 4 and 13, the shows would’ve marked Parton’s first time playing Vegas since 1993.
