A representative for the country music singer confirmed the news to Us Weekly that after more than two years together, Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes have ended their relationship.
The breakup news comes just days after Stokes recently celebrated Ballerini’s 32nd birthday with an affectionate (9.12) Instagram post that read “Although you keep saying you’re not excited for 32, I’d say I’m lookin’ forward to more of this.” “Happy birthday, my love.”
In response Ballerini liked the social media statement, which featured a carousel of photos.
The superstar singer and the thespian were first linked together in January of 2023, with Ballerini confirming their relationship a month later on the Call Her Daddy podcast, and revealing that she had “slid into” Stokes’ DMs, adding:
“My manager was like, ‘You know who’s really cute, like, when you’re ready? Chase.’ I was like, ‘You’re so right.” “His handle is ‘@hichasestokes,’ and I just said, ‘Hi, Chase Stokes.'”
It was on the Today show in October of 2024, that Stokes discussed the foundation of his connection with Ballerini, noting “I truthfully think when you find somebody who’s not just somebody you love and adore, but is also your best friend, you’ve kind of got the best of both worlds.”
