Following their three-year legal battle over the group’s cancelled reunion tour, Nicole Scherzinger and Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin have finally settled their differences.
According to Page Six, the two women “came to a resolution months ago but needed some time to formalize the details”,
Recently filed court documents confirmed that the “parties have reached a settlement in principle, subject to the execution of certain written agreements”. As a result of the filing, the jury trial that had originally been slated for December 9 has been replaced with a hearing on January 29 2025 to dismiss the case.
In September of 2021, Antin sued Scherzinger for allegedly refusing to participate in the Pussycat Dolls’ first tour in a decade unless Nicole was given complete creative control and 75% of the profits. That same month, Scherzinger announced the tour had been completely cancelled – much to the surprise of her “incredibly disappointed” bandmates Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta, who claimed to have found out the news via the Masked Singer judge’s Instagram post.
In August of 2022, Scherzinger filed a cross-complaint against Antin, accusing the choreographer of mismanagement and misappropriating funds.
In July the pop star – who is currently on Broadway in Sunset Boulevard – decided that she was finally ready to move on.
After appearing on the talent show Popstars USA, in 2003 Scherzinger was recruited for the Pussycat Dolls by founder-choreographer Antin. The Pussycat Dolls went on to achieve worldwide recognition with such singles as ‘Don’t Cha’ and ‘Stickwitu,’ however, the sextet was plagued by internal conflict due to the emphasis on lead vocalist Scherzinger.
