Following a $3,000,000.00 offer to perform at the Donald Trump rally, 50 Cent has explained why he turned down the request.
While the superstar rapper has subtly hinted at supporting the former president in his 2024 election campaign (sharing images of Trump at one of his concerts in July after he was shot at a rally in Pennsylvania,) the musician refused to appear on stage at the 78-year-old politician’s controversial Sunday (10.27) event at Madison Square Garden.
On Tuesday (10.29,) during The Breakfast Club radio show, the artist/entrepreneur (born Curtis Jackson) stated:
“I got a call but they wanted me (for) Sunday… They offered me $3 million.” “I didn’t even go far … I didn’t talk to them about that kinda stuff. I’m afraid about politics. You understand? I do not like no part about them.”
Addressing his hesitation to get political, 50 added “It’s because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you.”
While Trump has struggled to secure superstar musicians to support his bid on the campaign trail, Kamala Harris has received endorsements from the likes of Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson, and Jennifer Lopez.
