A much needed bi-product of Covid-19, Daybreaker events have become all the rage!
Created as a stress-relieving method to start the work day, the nationally recognized morning celebrations begin with an hour of yoga and a “mini joy practice”, followed by a two-hour dance party with deejays, performance artists, breakfast food and beverages.
According to Daybreaker, the organizers are devoted to the safety of all attendees with proof of complete immunization or a negative COVID test required to participate and no phones are permitted.
Only 200 tickets were sold for a recent event which began at 6 a.m. and due to space constraints and current NYC laws the $99 tickets quickly sold out. There will be more events and activities for individuals who want to join midday dance celebrations and those who wish to watch the event live-streamed and participate from home can purchase $15 tickets online.
Daybreaker on Demand, a new streaming platform that allows users to “practice joy” from the comfort of their own homes and the luxury of their snooze buttons, is available for those who can’t get up at the crack of morning.
