After meeting in “The Middle” in 2018, Zedd and Maren Morris are hoping to catch lightening in a bottle a second time with their new ‘Make You Say’ collaboration featuring BEAUZ.
Several years in the making, about the dance-pop hybrid, Zedd said he “started working on this record about three or four years ago,” going “back and forth slowly, refining the production over the years.”
Stylistically, Zedd and Morris’ follow up to their initial multi-Platinum-certified collab finds the deejay/producer and vocalist playing to their strengths. Zedd and BEAUZ’s production on the new dance-pop crossover is crisp while Morris’ voice serves as a reminder of the country songstress’ ability to shine in the dance-pop domain.
“Make You Say” is “the kickoff of a new chapter for me,” says Zedd, who added that he “can’t wait for the world to hear it.”
