Since departing One Direction in 2016 in favor of a solo career, Zayn Malik has collaborated with the likes of Taylor Swift, Sia, M.I.A. and Timbaland, and now the British-born singer/songwriter wants to work with Miley Cyrus.
During Monday’s live stream appearance on Stationhead, Malik confirmed that Miley was next on his wish list, stating:
“I’d like to do a collaboration with her.” “I like her recent music a lot, it’s crazy. She’s got a sick voice and I think we could do something really cool together, especially in line with what my new record sounds like. Miley, if you heard this, and you’re interested, I’m here, let’s do something.”
Elsewhere on the livestream, the ‘Pillowtalk’ singer revealed he’s been listening to One Direction’s back catalogue as of late, adding “I’ve been listening to a bit of One Direction music recently, reminiscing. Good times,” he shared. “We made some good music as a band. We were pretty good.”
Following his 2021 Nobody Is Listening LP , the now 31 year old, former boyband heart throb is preparing to release Room Under the Stairs, his fourth studio album (on 17 May.)
In 2010, Zayn was put together with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan to form One Direction on The X Factor UK.
