As the very first musician to perform at Michigan Stadium, Zach Bryan set a new record for the largest ticketed concert audience in American history by playing in front of 112,408 people.
Known as The Big House, Michigan Stadium is the largest stadium in the United States, and the third largest in the world. With special guest John Mayer and support from Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentlemen and Joshua Slone, Zach Bryan’s show also set a merchandise sales record of $5,000,000.00
Topping George Strait who previously held the record during his 2024 performance for 110,905 people at Kyle Field in Texas in 2024, the prior #2 concert draw was the Grateful Dead’s 1977 show at Raceway Park in New Jersey, with 107,019.
Historically speaking, with an estimated 3,500,000 person audience, the largest concert attendance of all time was in 1994 during Rod Stewart’s free New Year’s Eve show at Brazil’s Copacabana Beach.
According to Variety, Bryan recently sold his publishing catalogue in a deal with a combined value of $350,000,000
With 17 of its 19 songs securing Billboard Hot 100 singles chart activity, Zach’s latest LP The Great American Bar Scene, was released on July 4 of last year.
