Following the passing of Roberto Cavalli, former Spice Girl turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham is among the list of celebrities to pay homage to the Italian designer.
In a a statement released by his company, Cavalli died on Friday (4.12) at the age of 83 at his home in Florence, Italy following a protracted illness.
Taking to her Instagram account Story, Beckham posted a photo of herself holding hands with Cavalli while he had his hand raised and made the peace sign, with the caption “So sorry to hear the sad news of Roberto’s passing. He’ll forever be an icon.”
Acknowledging how they and bandmate Beyoncé oft times donned Cavalli outfits over the course of their careers, former Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams also paid tribute to the Italian fashionista.
On Instagram, Rowland wrote “Mr Cavalli, thank you for your talent and creativity and for always being so incredibly kind. You made us feel so sexy and fly, you will be truly missed.”
Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria, Mean Girls star Lindsay Lohan and model Cindy Crawford also celebrated Cavalli on Instagram, with fellow fashion designer Giorgio Armani branding Cavalli a “true artist” in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
