Some 36 years since they performed the holiday classic live, on Friday (12.15,) U2 took to the stage with their rendition of Darlene Love’s “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)”.
The last, and only prior time the iconic rockers performed the legendary Christmas anthem was on December 20, 1987, when they ended their Joshua Tree tour with a gig at Tempe, Arizona’s Sun Devil Stadium.
What was initially intended to be U2’s final Las Vegas residency show at the Sphere, has since been extended until March 2024 with Bono and his boys wrapping up their 40-show U2 UV: Achtung Baby residency on March 2.
