“Prepare for a first, massive release tomorrow…”
Tomorrow, August 27, Tomorrowland will formally launch on Tomorrowland Music, a “dedicated music division” within the Tomorrowland brand.
By way of the electronic music company’s relationships, the event business hopes to “collaborate closely with both artists and labels, supporting them in all their recording and release activities.”
The seminal Tomorrowland Music release will be ”You Got The Love” from Afrojack‘s new project, Never Sleeps with the Dutch deejay/producer/artist aligning himself with serial collaborator, Chico Rose, best known for his vocals on “Speechless,” “Cloud 9,” and “Sad.
The news of Tomorrowland Music’s foundation comes part in parcel with the festival brand’s announcement of a global partnership with Universal Music and Virgin Records Germany (with international distribution through Virgin Music Label & Artist Services). And in a press release, Tomorrowland’s music manager Michel Van Buyten specified sonic storytelling as a cornerstone of Tomorrowland Music, stating,
“Tomorrowland Music will work closely together with artists to help create strong stories around their releases. With the combined forces of our dedicated label team, Tomorrowland’s broader Media House, and the different Virgin Music teams worldwide, our aim is to introduce fans in every corner of the world to the most exciting projects in electronic music.”
