On Friday (3.31), Coi Leray introduced ‘Players’ to the Caribbean by releasing a new version of the track with Tokischa rapping “Diamond chain, that’s my bestie/Don’t trust nobody, these bitches is messy,” Tokischa raps in English after dropping a few bars in Spanish. “Big ass smile/my mouth gotta bling/Thinking bout money, not thinking bout him/Soy la perra, you already know me/Wanna eat my ass, en mi penthouse suite.”
Sharing the song on Instagram Toksicha (born Tokischa Altagracia Peralta Juárez) shared the song on Instagram, along with a video of herself wearing a pink cowboy and lip-syncing the lyrics with the caption, “Let’s gooooo @coileray.”
“The official last remix ,” Leray wrote on Instagram. “I NEED ALL MY LATINAS TO GO CRAZY THIS WEEKEND.”
Already a TikTok staple, the original version of ‘Players’ samples ‘The Message’ by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five and the remix dropped as the song broke into Billboard’s Hot 100 Top 10 at #9 this week.
Since its original release, Leray has released several versions of the track including a a sped-up version with DJ Smallz 732, a remix with David Guetta, and a third version featuring Busta Rhymes and DJ Saige.
The latest ‘Players’ remix arrives days after Leray joined Sabrina Carpenter for a remix of her own hit “Nonsense” and Tokischa also hopped on a remix of “Bandidaje” with July Queen and Liss Doll RD Thursday, and joined the Martinez Brothers for “Kilo” and Natanael Cano for “Kilos de Amor” last year.
