Over the weekend, The Weeknd took to social media with hints of forthcoming music.
During the 12-second Instagram clip, a chorus is heard behind a watery, blue “A” with a bird and the “12.16.22” caption.
Following his mysterious video, the superstar singer (born Abel Makkonen Tesfaye) retweeted the official account for the movie Avatar: The Way of Water, which included his initial post and added “#AvatarTheWayofWater x @theweeknd.”
Released in January of this year, The Weeknd’s Dawn FM, made Rolling Stone’s “The 100 Best Albums of 2022” list, and the musician/actor is gearing up for the 2023 debut of HBO Max’s The Idol. He stars in the series he co-created with Reza Fahim, and Euphoria’s Sam Levinson, and it also features Lily-Rose Depp.
