The Prodigy Honors Late Frontman

It was during this weekend’s Coachella 14-song set that The Prodigy honored late frontman Keith Flint.

Led by MC and Maxim in the Mojave Tent, the band beamed a laser outline of the late singer on stage that moved in time to their 1996 hit single ‘Firestarter,’ complete with snippets of his vocals.

At the age of 49. Flint took his own life on 4 March 2019, where the frontman was found dead at his home in Essex.

In a statement about his passing, Prodigy members Liam Howlett and Maxim Reality at the time wrote “It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint.”

In his own mention, Howlett took to Instagram with “The news is true. I can’t believe I’m saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend.” “I’m shell shocked, f**kin angry, confused and heartbroken.”

Elsewhere in the group’s third Coachella festival stint, Prodigy revisited hits from their back catalogue including ‘Breathe,’ ‘Omen’ and ‘Smack My Bitch Up.’

Coachella, fans were also treated to performances by Missy Elliott, Lady Gaga and AG Cook with Travis Scott, Green Day, Charli XCX, Jimmy Eat World, Clairo, Japanese Breakfast, Sam Fender and Weezer also set to perform this weekend.
