Earler this week Busta Rhymes visited by The Tonight Show where he performed ‘The Statement’ and ‘Legacy’ as one cohesive medley.
Released last month, both songs appear on Rhymes’ recent album, Blockbusta (via Conglomerate Ent./Epic Records) that the legendary rapper (born Trevor George Smith Jr.) executive produced along with Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, and Swizz Beatz.
In addition to the CIE, Trillian, and RAI cameos on “Legacy,” Burna Boy, Quavo, Coi Leray, Kodak Black, and Big Tigger are also featured on the new LP . His latest full length marks the 51-year olds tenth studio release that followed 2020’s Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God, which featured collabs with Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Rick Ross, Anderson .Paak, Mary J. Blige, and Mariah Carey.
Earlier this year, Busta joined Chris Webby on “Oh Boy” and Sean Paul and Skillibeng for the “Summa Hot Remix.” Over the summer, he added a rap versse on Grafh’s “Look Out the Window.”
