After Taylor Swift‘s devoted fans solved 33,000,000 puzzles in an attempt to solve the “Vault” tracks slated for the superstar singer/songwriter’s upcoming 1989 (Taylor’s Version) LP, the recent multi-MTV award winning singer finally revealed which extra titles will appear on her latest re-recorded full length.
Included in the album’s 10.27 release are “Is It Over Now?,” “Now That We Don’t Talk,” “Say Don’t Go” and “Suburban Legends.”
As with all things Swiftie’d, on Tuesday (9.19) Google was overwhelmed by the mad rush of activity the moment it launched a new pop-up animation to honor the anticipated 1989 release. The 89 puzzles fans needed to solve in order unlock the “Taylor’s Vault” tracks resulted in so much online activity that the search engine admitted that the online activity was more than it could handle, writing “Swifties, the vault is jammed! But don’t worry, there are not blank spaces inside.” “We’re in our fix-it era and will be out of the woods soon” via Twitter
On Wednesday (9.20) Google updated the status of the search with another barrage of Swift-related puns, “Swifties, we made it out of the woods! Bridges, built. Codes, cracked. Vault, opened.”
In August, Taylor announced the 1989 iteration, the fourth “Version” she’s released, since announcing her re-recording project in 2019. Each of the previous LPs went to #1 on the Billboard 200 – including Fearless (Taylor’s Version) in 2021, Red (Taylor’s Version) in 2021, and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) in 2023.
