An artist whose popularity rests as much on her singer/songwriter excellent as it does her use of social media, Taylor Swift has officially decided to join TikTok.
Earlier today the Universal Republic recording artist took to the enormously popular video-sharing platform to remind her fans that the vinyl version of her re-recorded Red album is now available for pre-order stating “Lots going on at the moment: Red (my version) vinyl is up for presale on my site and oh I’m on tiktok now let the games begin #SwiftTok.”
Serving as the musical soundscape for her TikTok post is British rapper Dave’s song “Screwface Capital”, in which he name drops the 31-year old female superstar.
Proof positive that her Swifty fans endorsed the their music idols commitment to the social media platform, one follower asked “Am I dreaming?? Is this real?” while another posted “Taylor joining TikTok and nailing a transition, we love to see it.”
The re-recorded version of Taylor’s fourth studio album, Red (Taylor’s Version), is due for release on 19 November.
