Taylor Swift Drops Trailer Clip Of Re-Recorded ‘Wildest Dreams’: Listen

Following the announcement to re-record much of her first few albums, Taylor Swift has teased another one of her top songs as part of the trailer for DreamworksSpirit Untamed.

On Friday, March 12th, Swift took to her Instagram to post a number of clips from the movie’s trailer and while the music competes with a fair amount of dialogue within the visuals, there remains enough music to get a sense of “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)”. The revised 1989 track maintains an epic vibe that bolsters the original’s sweeping feel with the addition of heavier drums and chorused vocals.

Here’s to a compilation of Taylor’s posts.

“Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” marks the second song the Grammy winner has released in her quest to re-record her first six albums in order to regain ownership of her original compositions. In 2019 Swift announced her decision after Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings acquired Swift’s old label, Big Machine Label Group, in a $300 million deal. Last November, it was reported that Braun had subsequently sold Swift’s catalog to Shamrock Holdings, a private equity company, as part of a package deal said to be worth $300 million.

Unclear when Swift plans to release “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” in full, if it remains tied to Spirit Untamed, the availability could arrive closer to the film’s June 4th release date.
