Less than two weeks following the release of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, Taylor Swift has announced a six-part documentary series and a new concert film.
Titled The End of an Era, the forthcoming six-part documentary series, will give endusers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the superstar singer/songwriter’s record-breaking Eras Tour that included 149 performances in 51 cities over the course of 21 months.
According to the project’s press release, the half dozen episodes will also spotlight various family members, friends, and such fellow musicians as Sabrina Carpenter, Gracie Abrams, Ed Sheeran, and Florence Welch.
With two new episodes released per week, the first pair of installments are scheduled to premiere on December 12 via Disney+, the same day the Grammy Award winner will drop Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show, a live recording of her last performance on The Eras Tour, which took place on December 8 2024 in Vancouver, Canada.
Swift’s concert film will feature performances of songs from her 2024 album The Tortured Poets Department, an era that was not included in her first concert film for the Eras Tour, released in October 2023 (as the LP had yet to be released.)
On the day of its release, The Life of a Showgirl became the most-streamed album on Spotify in a single day this year.
