During Sunday’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Chicago Bears, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been formally linked when the singer was spotted in the football family’s suite standing next to Travis’ mom, Donna.
The FOX Sports broadcast of the NFL game featured a number of shots of the superstar singer/songwriter cheering on the Chiefs dressed in a red and white team jacket at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
Taylor’s appearance follows weeks of speculation – by football broadcasters and Swift fans alike – that she and the athlete are dating. While the couple have not publicly confirmed any romance, in an interview with ESPN last week, Kelce mentioned that he finds the focus on Swift and him “hilarious.” adding “This is like the old school game called telephone, where everybody is just whispering in everybody’s ear.” “No one actually knows what’s going on.”
Rumors about a potential relationship started early-September when Travis said on his podcast, “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce,” that he attempted to slip the Grammy award winner his phone number via a friendship bracelet he made for Swift during one of her “Eras” tour concerts.
Kelce told his brother Jason that he was “disappointed” to learn that Taylor doesn’t talk before or after her shows because “she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings.” “So, I was a little bit hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” he added.
In one final play, on Thursday (9.21), during his conversation with ESPN, Kelce said, “I threw the ball in her court and told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead. You might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit.’” “We’ll see what happens in the near future,” he concluded.
