Concerning her forthcoming collaboration with Morgan Wallen. Tate McRae is dealing with pushback from her fans.
Marking Morgan’s first-ever duet with a female artist, earlier this week the news broke that McRae will be featured on Wallen’s upcoming county music album, I’m The Problem.
Since her fans started speculating that Tate will appear on Morgan’s full length, some strong opinions have surfaced on social media.
On X user wrote “tate mccrae collabing with Morgan Wallen she is the MAGA barbie y’all accused Addison [Rae] of being (sic),” another one wrote “Come on Tate, you’re better than this,” and penned “tate mcrae collabing with morgan wallen…… i’m actually so disappointed in her rn (sic)”
Over the years Wallen has come under fire, including his 2024 arrest for reckless endangerment after allegedly throwing a chair from a rooftop bar. After using a racial slur ins 2021, his music was suspended from radio stations, and in March, the musician stormed off the ‘Saturday Night Live’ stage and posted a photo of his private jet with the caption: “Get me to God’s country.” While some believe he was simply eager to return to his home in Tennessee, others speculated that his impromptu departure could’ve been politically motivated.
Later today (4.18,) Morgan and his ‘I Had Some Help’ collaborator Post Malone will drop their new collaboration ‘I Ain’t Coming Back’. Their prior duet broke Spotify’s single-day country streaming record with almost 14,000,000 listens, and skyrocketed to the top of charts around the world.
Wallen’s I’m The Problem wil be released May 16, and contains a whopping 37 songs featuring additional cameos by Eric Church, HARDY and Ernest.
