Twilight Reverie by @2FTHR_

In the quiet night, my thoughts take flight, A whispering breeze,
a haunting plight. Through trials endured, I stood on my own, yet
now, in under the night sky, I feel so alone.
Why do the voices grow louder each day? Asking for help, but
words won’t obey. Tears fall unnoticed, as I quietly weep, In the
silence of sorrow, my secrets I keep.
A mask I wear, a facade so bright, Hiding the darkness that
consumes the night, for in the company of others, I feign delight,
But in solitudes embrace, I surrender to fright.
Perhaps it’s the hope, the promise of peace, that soothes the soul,
granting release. For deep within, a whisper so clear, Assures me
that the endings are drawing near.
So as I journey through this tempestuous sea, I find peace in
knowing, I’ll soon be free. But until that moment, I’ll endure the
pain, and pen these words, like tears in the rain -
