For the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show hip-hop pioneers Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and Eminem blew the crowd away on the Compton-themed stage alongside surprise guests 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak.
Born Andre Romelle Young, Dr. Dre and Snoop (real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr.) launched the star-studded spectacular with “Next Episode” followed by “California Love” in honor of the late Tupac Shakur. In a previously un-announced set, 50 Cent surprised fans with a rendition of “In Da Club,” before Mary J. Blige delivered her hits “Family Affair” and “No More Drama.”
The camera dropped to field level where Kendrick Lamar, sang “Alright” and Eminem (with Anderson .Paak behind him on drums) blew the stadium away with “Lose Yourself.”
