In a recent interview from behind bars, Suge Knight has suggested Sean “Diddy” Combs may be attacked while incarcerated.
Currently serving a 28-year sentence in a California penitentiary for voluntary manslaughter, Suge spoke out about the prison experience. As two of the biggest names associated with competing hip hop labels Death Row and Bad Boy, Suge and Diddy’s hostility has been decades in the making.
Speaking to NewsNation, the now 59-year old Knight explained that despite his long-running feud with Diddy, he was not going to “jump up and cheer for no Black man going to prison or any other human being going to prison.”
However, Knight spoke candidly about the experience Combs may have behind bars, and suggested the possibility the recently arrested rapper may be attacked by an inmate trying “to get a name for themself”.
“I mean, one of the things is this: I don’t care who you are, prison and jail is a negative environment.” “Somebody can do something to him and get a name for themself, they gonna actually do it. Or if they can do whatever they feel they gotta do to prove themself,” stated Knight.
To be clear, Suge wasn’t implying the now 54-year old Diddy, 54, was necessarily “in danger,” he added. “I don’t wanna say he’s in danger and neither should he say that.”
