Springsteen Calls Trump Admin ‘Corrupt’

While launching his 2025 Land of Hope and Dreams European tour on Wednesday night (5.14,) Bruce Springsteen delivered an aggressive speech against Donald Trump.

After walking onto the Manchester stage, the iconic singer/songwriter said:

“The mighty E Street Band is here tonight to call upon the righteous power of art, of music, of rock and roll, in dangerous times.” “My home, the America I love, the America I’ve written about, and has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration.” “Tonight, we ask all who believe in democracy and the best of our American experience to rise with us, raise your voices against the authoritarianism, and let freedom ring. This is Land of Hope and Dreams.”

A passionate liberal who’s campaigned for every Democratic presidential candidate throughout the last twenty years, the now 75-year old Springsteen made no effort to disguise his contempt for President Trump, however, this was his most passionate denunciation of him to date.

Driving home the point home, The Boss followed up ‘Land of Hope and Dreams’ with ‘Death to My Hometown,’ a politically-charged song from his 2012 Wrecking Ball album about how corporate greed contributed to the Great Recession of 2007/08.

Initially considered an additional leg of Springsteen and the E Street Band’s Letter To Run trek, which kicked off in early 2023, was renamed The Land of Hope and Dreams tour earlier this month.
