Scheduled to drop on December 4 as a companion piece to her breakthrough Worst Girl in America LP, Slayyyter has confirmed details of her next album Worst Man in America.
Featuring entirely new music from the singer/songwriter’s previously released singles ‘Brand New Chanels’ and ‘Crank 2,’ the 30-year old songstress says the new collection acts as an “inverted” counterpart to her earlier LP, with some tracks built as direct reversals of songs from Worst Girl in America and others forming a parallel storyline.
Born Catherine Grace Garner, the RECORDS CO signed artist is currently touring her sold-out Worst Girl in the World show, and she recorded Birds: Slayyyter Version for Turnstile’s Never Enough: Versions album, with contributions from Elton John ( who previously said he’s had ‘Never Enough’ on repeat since it dropped – added his iconic vocals to ‘Seein’ Stars,’) and Paramore’s Hayley Williams.
Each offering their own take on the material, the Baltimore band hand over songs from their Grammy-winning Never Enough to a sprawling list of guest artists, including Dying Fetus, Porches, A. G. Cook, Floating Points, Rod Lee, Kettama, Mustafa, Julien Baker, Panda Bear, Brandon Woody, Four Tet, Dan Deacon, Blood Orange, Chanel Beads, Faye Webster, Angel Du$t, Shabaka, Oklou, Nourished By Time and Alex G.
