A month after her tragic passing, Lucy-Bleu Knight’s cause of death has now been made public.
In her mid-20’s, Slash‘s stepdaughter passed away in July and on Thursday (8.29,) the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner “determined the cause of death for 25-year-old Lucy-Bleu Knight as hydrogen sulfide toxicity.” “The manner of death is suicide.”
Hydrogen sulfide is a colorless gas that smells strongly of rotten eggs and the Centre for Disease Prevention website explains that “inhalation of high concentrations of hydrogen sulfide can produce extremely rapid unconsciousness and death”.
Lucy-Bleu was the stepdaughter of Slash’s 59-year-old girlfriend Meegan Hodges, whom he initially dated in 1989 before they reconnected more seriously in 2015.
Born Saul Hudson, the superstar guitarist took to Instagram on July 27 with:
“My heart is permanently fractured.” “I will never ever stop missing you & remembering what a beacon of happiness, laughter, creativity & beauty you have always been … & still are.” “The brightest light in the lives of so many that loved you so much. I find solace in the hope that you are at peace now. I will love you eternally.”
