Shirley Manson’s Injury Cancels Garbage Shows

Following front woman Shirley Manson‘s injury, Garbage has cancelled all remaining 2024 tour dates.

On Thursday (8.01), a representative for the band took to social media announcing the news via Instagram.

“It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of all our remaining dates for the rest of the year due to an injury that Shirley sustained on our recent tour in Europe that will require surgery and rehabilitation to correct.” “This is not a decision that we have taken lightly, and we apologize to our amazing fans and supportive promoters. We look forward to playing for you all again in 2025.”

Though the Scottish singer didn’t disclose the nature of her injury or reveal the cause, Manson confirmed to the news with “No one is more crushed about this than I am. You know I would push through if I could.”

In response to Shirley’s post, several of her fans sent well wishes.

“Love you Shirley! I’m so sorry about your injury. I really hope the surgery goes well and people sneak you in some decent food!” wrote musician Kathleen Hanna, while actress Rosanna Arquette added, “Ahh s**t. Heal well beautiful Shirley and a great record will come from this time.”

Comprised of Duke Erikson, Steve Marker, and Butch Vig, Garbage was set to perform at a number of festivals, including Ohana Festival in Dana Point, California in September.
