Legendary country / pop artist Shania Twain just announced her brand new single “Waking Up Dreaming” will be released this Friday (9.23) stating:
“ Every time I get to announce something like this I get such a rush of adrenaline and nerves – it never gets old… I am super excited to share with you that my new song ‘Waking Up Dreaming’ is coming out this Friday!! “
In the midst of working on her Let’s Go! Las Vegas residency over the past couple years and premiering her new documentary Not Just A Girl over the summer, Shania’s also been working on volumes of new music, stating:
“I’ve spent the last couple years working away on new music… on my documentary… on the Vegas residency and it’s been such a creatively fulfilling time for me, I can’t wait for this next chapter and ‘Waking Up Dreaming’ is just the start.“
In 2017 Shania released Now, her fifth studio album and the 90’s country legend was recently honored with the with the ACM Poets Award at the ACM Honors, with Avril Lavigne paying homage to one of her musical heroes (and fellow Canadian) with a cover version of “No One Needs To Know” at the show.
