Shakira + Maluma Confirm New Collab

Back together for their fourth musical alliance, on Wednesday (9.09,) Shakira and Maluma took to their respective Instagram accounts to share a sultry image alongside the caption: “Agua 17.09.26 Nos fuimos Mundialllll,” which translates roughly to “We’re going big” with the Barranquilla donning a white lace dress, alongside the Medellín singer seated in a chair, gazing up at her.

Born Juan Luis Londoño Arias, the Latin superstar heightened anticipation by teasing the collaboration on TikTok, featuring the lyric, “Cuando me miras se me hace agua la boca” (“When you look at me, it makes my mouth water”), along with a pre-save link for the song on his website ahead of the September 17.

Some ten years since their first collab, the couple’s fist pop-reggaetón hit ‘Chantaje’ was released in 2016 and topped Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart for eleven weeks.

The Hispanic couple subsequently reunited on ‘Trap,’ from Shakira’s 2017 El Dorado LP, followed by ‘Clandestino’ in 2018, the seductive, reggae-tinged collaboration that topped Billboard’s Latin Airplay, Latin Pop Airplay and Latin Rhythm Airplay charts.

Launching September 18,.Shakira is currently preparing for her 12-show Madrid residency.
