According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs prison release date has been updated from June 4, 2028, to April 25, 2028.
The updated sentence comes after Combs was accepted into an in-prison drug-abuse rehabilitation program in November, which could have helped to shorten his sentence.
The fallen music idol, who has been serving time at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute in New Jersey, initially had his sentence increased in November 2025, from May 8, 2028 to June 2, 2028 after allegedly violating multiple prison rules.
The latest release date comes after Combs filed to appeal his four-year sentence in December.
According to appeal court papers. the embattled musician’s attorneys demanded his immediate release and either reversal of the conviction or a reduced sentence. In February, prosecutors responded by opposing the appeal request.
Combs was charged with racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution, and was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution but was acquitted of the other charges. He has been imprisoned since his September 2024 arrest.
