As his trial got underway, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs‘s jury was warned about the lurid details involved in the alleged ‘freak off’ parties.
Arrested in 2024 and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution, the now 55-year-old disgraced music mogul has pleaded ‘not guilty’ to all charges against him. And following last week’s jury selection, the highly anticipated trial is now underway.
Subsequent to Combs’s September 2024 arrest, countless reports have surfaced concerning the musician’s past party history, which they claim included sex workers and saw attendees engaged in sexual acts.
Including Teny Geragos, Combs’s defense team admitted that while the music star has been known to have violent outbursts, they argued that he was not party to sex trafficking.
During this opening statement at the Southern District of New York Federal Court, Geragos was quoted by the Daily Mail as saying:
“You will hear about swinger parties…they will testify about things that should never be heard in a Federal courtroom, that he liked to watch… You may not like that, but you are not here to judge him for his sexual preferences.”
On Monday (5.12,) TMZ reported that the court room listened as Combs forced former girlfriend Cassie Ventura, 38, to engage in sex acts with male sex workers.
The outlet reported claims that Combs became violent when he learned Ventura was seeing other men, allegedly attacked her, and allegedly blackmailed her by threatening to release videos of her having sex with male escorts. It is also reported the court was shown footage of Combs brutally beating Ventura in the corridor of a Los Angeles hotel in 2016 – footage that was previously broadcast by CNN.
