Making his late-night television debut on The Tonight Show , Saucy Santana performed a no-holds-barred version of “Booty” alongside his a DJ and dancers.
Known for his 2020 hit “Material Girl,” the Florida rapper left it all on stage by dancing in an outfit with the song’s titled printed on the back of his shorts.
After teasing the release on social media, in June the anything-but-shy performer released “Booty” that samples the same song as Beyoncé’s 2003 mega-hit “Crazy in Love”: the Chi-Lites “Are You My Woman? (Tell Me So).” Though not present f the late night taping, the official recording includes an appearance by Atlanta rapper Latto.
Over the past several years, Santana’s music has been a TikTok and Instagram staple following the 2019 release of his debut single “Walk Em Like a Dog,” that continued with “Walk” and “Material Girl” in 2020 that led to one of the biggest social media trends today thanks to various remixes and edits of the track.
Discussing his success, earlier this year, Santana told Rolling Stone “Two years from now it’s giving the face of fashion, it’s giving the face of makeup, it’s giving Grammys, its giving movies,” the rapper confirmed. “The shit that I can do in two more years, I can’t even imagine.”
