Sabrina Carpenter Scores Her First Pop #1

With her recording of ‘Feather,’ Sabrina Carpenter notches her first-ever Billboard’ Pop Airplay #1 charter courtesy of a 7% gain in plays from March 22 thru 28.

Signed to Island Records, ‘Feather’ was Carpenter’s second Pop Airplay Top 10 following “Nonsense” in May of 2023, and she scored the first of seven charted songs at the format with “Thumbs” in 2017.

Co-wrote with Amy Allen and the song’s producer, John Ryan, “Feather,” is featured on the deluxe edition of Carpenter’s album Emails I Can’t Send, that debuted at #23, and is the singer/songwriter’s best rank on the Billboard 200, earning 639,000 equivalent album units to date.

In an interview with Billboard, Sabrina said “It’s such an honor to have my first [airplay] #1 for ‘Feather,’ which is such a special song for me.” “It’s rare to see records on a deluxe album impact fans the way ‘Feather’ has, so I feel incredibly thankful.”

‘Feather’ also becomes Carpenter’s first Top 40 hit on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, establishing a career best at #26 on the March 30-dated list.

Supporting Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour for 30 dates (between August and March 9,) the musician recently told Cosmopolitan “I get to perform a set that I’m super comfortable with, and then I get to watch one of the greatest performers every night,” of opening shows for Swift. “It makes me want to tour the world again, which is a good feeling.”
