Performing two tracks from her seventh LP, Man’s Best Friend, two-time Saturday Night Live guest Sabrina Carpenter did double duty as host and musical guest on October 18.
Co-written with Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen, the 26-year old opened with the lead single “Manchild.”
Co-written by Carpenter, Allen and John Ryan, Sabrina’s second song was the reggae-pop influenced “Nobody’s Son.”
Carpenter’w SNL debut was in May of 2024 during the season 49 finale, where she performed her hit single “Espresso,” from her Short n’ Sweet LP as well as a medley of two songs from 2022’s Emails I Can’t Send, and joining Paul Simon for a rendition of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Homeward Bound,” the singer-actress returned to Studio 8H in February during the 50th anniversary special.
