Marking her 70th year on the British throne, Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebration promises to feature a cavalcade of superstar musicians.
Scheduled for June 4 in front of Buckingham Palace in London, the massive lineup for the Platinum Party was revealed on Thursday (5.19) to include a melange of high-profile names throughout the musical spectrum.
Including Diana Ross and, of course, Queen + Adam Lambert, Sirs Elton John and Rod Stewart are among the performers.
Said Rod Stewart “Queen Elizabeth has given incredible service to the United Kingdom over the last 70 years and I’m delighted to be able to join her in celebrating her Platinum Jubilee with the Party At The Palace.” “She has demonstrated to the world what a special person she is and how lucky we are to have her. This will be a momentous occasion.”
The bill also includes Duran Duran, Elbow, Alicia Keys, Andrea Bocelli, Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Hans Zimmer as well as UK favorites Sam Ryder, Mabel, George Ezra, Craig David, Sigala & Ella Eyre, Mica Paris, Celeste and Mimi Webb.
The Royal Ballet is also slated to appear at the event.
10,000 tickets and more information are available for the celebration on a first come, first serve basis via the BBC’s website.
