Rosalía Confirms 4th Album

On November 7, Rosalía is slated to drop her fourth studio LP, LUX.

Teasing the record via billboards in New York’s Times Square and Madrid, the Spanish superstar singer/songwriter has confirmed the follow up release to her 2022’s Motomami.

In a previous ELLE interview, the now 33-year old musician talked about the subjects she would not discuss on the new record, stating:

“The rhythm [of the music industry] is so fast. And the sacrifice, the price to pay, is so high. The driving force that leads you to continue making music, to continue creating, has to come from a place of purity.” “Motives like money, pleasure, power… I don’t feel that they are fertile. Nothing will come out of there that I’m really interested in. Those are subjects that don’t inspire me.”

Addressing her growth and evolution since her last studio effort, during a September 2024 interview with Highsnobiety magazine, the Latina songstress (born Rosalia Vila Tobella) said that she has “changed a lot” adding:

“It’s been a process. I’ve changed a lot, but at the same time, I’m still wrapping my head around the same things. It’s like I still have the same questions and the same desire to answer them. I still have the same love for the past and the same curiosity for the future.”

Motomami took home Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album Grammys Awards and a slew of Latin Grammys, including Album of the Year. And a subsequent deluxe edition of the full length, titled Motomami + featured five additional tracks, including the hit single ‘Despechá’ which received a Cardi B-assisted remix.
