It’s official! The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced this year’s inductee list.
Following the latest episode of American Idol, the class of 2025 was revealed and will include Cyndi Lauper, The White Stripes, OutKast and Soundgarden, Bad Company, Thom Bell, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Nicky Hopkins, Carol Kaye, Salt-N-Pepa, Lenny Waronker and Warren Zevon.
Among the artists who were part of this year’s lengthy list but did not make the cut for induction in 2025 are Oasis, Mariah Carey, Phish, Billy Idol, The Black Crowes and Joy Division.
After being nominated for the first time in 2024, and being snubbed for the second time, Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher took to social media and wrote “F**k the Rock n Roll hall of fame, it’s full of bumbaclarts” on X.
When Mariah Carey was included in the long list in 2024, she reflected on her loss by telling the Los Angeles Times, saying “My thoughts are, I didn’t get in. Everybody was calling me, going, ‘I think you’re getting in!’ and so I was excited about it. But then it didn’t happen.”
This 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on November 8.
