During her Wednesday (7.10) appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Rita Ora shared details of her secret wedding to Taika Waititi.
During the interview, at which time the British singer opened up about her wedding to New Zealand filmmaker, host Fallon showed a photo of of the singer/songwriter performing with a man dressed as Elvis Presley on her wedding day and asked her, “Did you have an Elvis impersonator at your wedding?”
Now 33-years old, Ora confirmed that the performance was a “surprise” adding “But you know what was crazy about this moment? It was a surprise. I didn’t ask for this.” “There was no plan, I got married off the cuff and it was so much fun.” “Then we were like oh now what? So we just kind of booked out a hotel and had a little party.”
“The first song he sang was ‘I’m Caught In A Trap.’ I was like ‘Is that how we wanted to start, do you know what I mean?’ So I trapped my husband is what they’re saying,” she quipped about the Elvis impersonator starting his set with Presley’s 1969 song
Sharing that comedian/actress Tiffany Haddish attended the impromptu post-wedding party, the British chanteuse added “Tiffany Haddish was there as well who is a great friend of mine, and she was going, ‘Well, I guess we’re doing this then!'”
In August 2022, Rita and Taika, 48, confirmed that they had secretly tied the knot at their Los Angeles home and since then they have been tight-lipped about the details of their spontaneous big day.
