On Thursday (2.23,) The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences confirmed that Rihanna has agreed to perform at this year’s Oscars ceremony.
Born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, the superstar musician’s 2023 Oscar gig follows this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show spectacular.
Scheduled to air live on Sunday March 12 from Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, the Academy Awards broadcast will feature Rihanna’s performance of ‘Lift Me Up,’ the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever track nominated for Original Song (music by Tems, Rihanna, Ryan Coogler, and Ludwig Göransson written by Ryan and Tems.)
Prior to her first Oscar nomination, the Barbadian songstress was won nine Grammy Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, 13 American Music Awards (including the Icon Award), and seven MTV Video Music Awards (including the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
