Recalling the moment she fled in fear as bullets ripped through her home, Rihanna told police she was inside an Airstream ‘Silver Bullet’ trailer parked in the grounds of her Beverly Hills mansion when she suddenly heard what sounded like “10 loud bangs on metal”.
Inside the trailer with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, the superstar singer peeked outside and realized what she had heard were gunshots, and that the trailer was in the line of fire.
Waking up a sleeping A$AP Rocky, the 38-year old singer/entrepreneur “told him they were being shot at, and pushed both of them to the ground.” Rocky told police he awoke to Rihanna telling him, “They shooting at us.”
According to court documents obtained by England’s Daily Mail, the Barbadian chanteuse later told police that she’d received death threats on social media in the past but that no recent event came to mind that she could associate with the current incident. Rocky added that he’d previously dealt with a female stalker and provided them with a photograph of the suspect.
The couple share three young children who were in the house at the time with Rihanna’s mother and staff members.
On Wednesday (3.25,) Ivanna Lisette Ortiz appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to 14 charges, including attempted murder.
