Ricky Martin + Lady Gaga Join Super Bowl Show

As is customary during recent halftime shows, where the headliner showcases one or more surprise guests, it was Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin who joined Bad Bunny on stage during Super Bowl LX.

While no special appearances were announced ahead of the Latin superstar’s performance, the Reggaeton musician simply stated that “the world will dance,’ as Bad Bunny was once himself a surprise guest when he performed alongside headliners Jennifer Lopez and Shakira in 2020.

With pre-game rumors swirling about who might make cameo appearances – including the likes of Cardi B and Daddy Yankee – it was Gaga, who sang a salsa version of ‘Die With a Smile,’ and Martin with ‘Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii,’ who helped bring the house down. In addition, Jessica Alba and Pedro Pascal were seen dancing below the main stage.

Donning a futuristic white suit, the Latin musician (born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) delivered a high-energy performance that included a medley of hits including crowd favorites ‘Tití Me Preguntó,’ ‘Dakiti,’ ‘Baile Inolvidable’ and ‘Where She Goes,’ that ended with ‘DtMf’ amidst a giant blaze of fireworks. While naming every country in Latin America, the performance concluded with Bad Bunny shouting out “God bless America!”

A performance that marked a historic moment, the 37-year old becomes one of a handful of Latin artists to headline the NFL’s coveted halftime slot, yet it was only the first Spanish-only performance during a halftime show in Super Bowl history.
