According to court records obtained by People magazine, rapper Desiigner has been arrested and charged with domestic violence in the 3rd degree,
Born Sidney Royel Selby III, the musician was taken into custody in Horry County, South Carolina, after an alleged March 2 incident, where he posted $1500.00 bail on Tuesday (3.24.)
The alleged victim, the mother of his young child, claimed Selby returned to their home angry, where he began shouting and throwing the car keys to their shared vehicle.
In the report, after attempting to leave, the defendant ripped the keys from the plaintiff’s pocket, tore her trousers, then grabbed their baby and put him in a car seat. After the alleged victim tried to intervene, he allegedly threw her to the ground in front of the home, where she sustained minor scratches on her arm and lower back.
Once authorities arrived at the scene, Selby was no longer there.
In September of 2023, Selby was convicted for exposing himself on an airline, and was charged with masturbating on a flight from Tokyo to Minneapolis in April of that year. Authorities confirmed the singer had continued to do so after being asked multiple times to stop by members of the flight crew.
Desiigner was sentenced to 120 hours of community service, fined $5000.00 and put on probation for two years.
