Superstar soul singer Rag’n’Bone Man just dropped the Danger Mouse-produced tune ‘Time To Love.’
About the groove-laden single that melds blues, soul, and hip-hop, the singer (born Rory Graham) says he achieved a dream by working with the studio wizard – best known for his work with Gnarls Barkley, CeeLo Green, Broken Bells, The Black Keys, and Gorillaz – adding:
“Time To Love is about taking a moment to let love exist – even in a fast-moving world, but also about opening up to the possibility of finding love after a long time being shut off. Working with Danger Mouse has always been a dream of mine: I love his recognizable stamp and creative approach. Having the opportunity to work with him has allowed me to explore a different side of my sound and still lean into some of my longstanding hip-hop influences. I’m really proud of what we’ve made.”
Describing the composition as “slightly underground,” the 40-year old singer told Rolling Stone AU/NZ “It’s a real banger. I would say it’s slightly underground. It’s not necessarily a big pop song but it really has heads nodding in the audience.”
‘Time To Love’ follows the singer-songwriter’s 2024 album What Do You Believe In?, which he admitted was an emotional LP that helped him with the “trauma” of losing a loved one, explaining “It really helped me through trauma.” “It’s not easy to lose people, family. At first, performing those songs live, I thought, ‘There’s no way. I’d just be a mess.’ But I got over that as well. It was definitely a remedy.”
